Sophio Ebralidze

Sophio Ebralidze is a Tbilisi-based cultural and educational projects manager and co-founder of Mechanical Waves, a women-led platform creating spaces for art and social dialogue. Since 2009, Sophio has been part of Tbilisi Open Air, the region’s largest music festival. Her leadership includes managing the renowned club KHIDI and co-curating the queer series KiKi (2017-2023). Currently a British Council Creative Producers Global fellow, Sophio specializes in building trust-based creative communities and bridging the gap between local independent scenes and international networks.

Being selected for Keychange Talent Leadership Programme is a beautiful step in scaling Mechanical Waves as an inclusive platform for art and dialogue. I am eager to gain new leadership perspectives while strengthening the bridge between Georgia’s independent scene and the European network. My goal is to foster a community where all identities can experiment freely, bringing fresh inspiration and solid creative models back to Tbilisi, despite the harsh challenges for independent cultural players.
