Rana Bassil
Rana Bassil has been active in the Swiss music ecosystem for over thirteen years. She is currently the General Coordinator of Case à Chocs, a music and cultural venue in Neuchâtel, where she oversees operations and leads a broad team of professionals. She is also President of PETZI, the Swiss federation of music venues and festivals representing over 200 grassroots organisations, and serves on the board of Live DMA, a European network uniting more than 3,000 venues and festivals. Born and raised in Lebanon, Rana built her career in Europe advocating for fair working conditions, diversity, and decolonial leadership approaches.
“Being selected for the Keychange programme comes at an important moment in my career, where leadership requires space for reflection as much as action. As an immigrant woman working within European cultural institutions, I see this programme as an opportunity to exchange experiences, gain perspective, and strengthen a leadership approach rooted in care, equity, and shared responsibility, while contributing to more inclusive and sustainable cultural structures.”
