Edna Martinez
Edna Martínez is an artist, DJ, and curator whose practice reconfigures narratives from the Colombian Caribbean and its intersections with Arab geographies in dialogue with global electronic scenes. Beyond her independent research in projects such as LatinArab and El Volcán, her work includes a curatorial tenure at Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) and a guest curatorship for Le Guess Who? 2025. Through residencies on Radio Alhara, NTS, and Worldwide FM, she engages sound as a praxis of restitution to document heritage and construct intercultural spaces, as showcased in her debut compilation "Picó" released via Strut Records.
“Keychange is a site of urgency to intervene in cultural infrastructures through the density of diasporic sound archives. This practice seeks to ensure that South-South narratives fundamentally shift the axis of our collective heritage.”
