Initiative Musik
Initiative Musik are the German federal government’s central funding institution for popular music and jazz. Artists and their music are at the core of our work in the cultural sector.
We are committed to supporting a diverse musical landscape, future-oriented economic structures, ecological sustainability, and social justice for all. That’s why we help artists, live music, infrastructure and music businesses throughout Germany in implementing their ideas and realizing their visions. As the organiser of three music awards - POLYTON, Deutscher Jazzpreis and APPLAUS Award - we also actively contribute to the recognition and promotion of outstanding talent in the music industry.
