May is EU Diversity Month – and this year’s theme focuses on promoting mental health and wellbeing at the workplace
At Keychange, we know how vital this is – especially in the music industry. Throughout the month, we’re highlighting mental health and care structures with insights from our Keychange Leaders, Pledge Signatories and more people, who are taking real action to support artists and professionals.
Our focus is based on four key demands from our updated Keychange Manifesto 2.0:
Normalising accessibility riders – making accessibility a standard for all venues and events.
Equal, paid parental leave – legal frameworks that support all genders, flexible hours, and care cost coverage.
Targeted funding – to improve mental health support, accessibility, and childcare in the industry.
A culture of care – music organisations should embed care into work ethics to reduce stress and pressure.
Over four weeks in may, we share a new Call to Action every week via our social media channels. Stay tuned!
