What is the Keychange Inspiration Award?
The Keychange Inspiration Award honours and celebrates individuals, companies or initiatives who have made extraordinary and pioneering contributions to the music industry. The award winners are our role models for the next generation, and for the Keychange network of talented artists and industry professionals.
Previously selected by Keychange partners, this marks the second year we’ve looked to our Keychange followers and community worldwide in our search for the next winner.
Who are we looking for?
We want to know who has been an inspirational figure to YOU in driving change in the music industry in areas of gender equity, diversity, inclusion, access and sustainability. Through the process, we look to highlight people and initiatives working towards a more inclusive and diverse music sector in all its forms.
This global call for nominations is open to individuals, collectives, organisations, projects and beyond – we encourage you to think outside the box.
For inspiration, why not check out some of our previous winners here.
Keychange encourages nominations from underrepresented individuals, groups and territories around the world, and so we ask our global communities for help to spread the word to reach further out into the world than ever before.
What happens next?
Please make your nominations by 15th December 2025 using the button above. And remember, you can also make more than one nomination!
Once the deadline has passed, Keychange will shortlist from the nominations with a view to highlight as many diverse, underrepresented voices and work as possible from around the world. Our Advisory Committee will then convene to select the overall winner.
The winner will be announced at Tallinn Music Week in April 2026.
Keychange Ambassadors are influential individuals who wholeheartedly advocate for Keychange and play a vital role in expanding the reach and impact of our movement. As Ambassadors, they endorse our mission for gender equity and share our core values of inclusivity. Coming from diverse sectors and backgrounds, they are well-known and utilise their influence to advocate for change within their networks and in public.
We maintain regular communication with all our ambassadors regarding their public appearances and firmly insist that all their actions align with Keychange's core values. However, it is crucial to emphasise that our ambassadors are independent individuals who are not employed by Keychange. As such, they retain their freedom to decide which events to participate in and the statements they make. While we strive to ensure alignment, it is important to acknowledge their autonomy and the individual choices they make in representing themselves.
