Achievements – Reaching gender balance targets
One of the questions asked in the survey focused on whether Pledge Signatories achieved the 50% gender balance target during their reporting period.
Of the signatories that provided data, the proportion of signatories that were able to achieve the gender balance target was relatively high over the years: 67.7% (2023), 67.4% (2024) and 50.7% (2025). The slight drop in 2025 was due to a change in the question where respondents could also indicate whether they have had partial success: 36.0% of the respondents ticked this box.
The research draws from the annual reporting survey, which Keychange sends out to its
signatories, through Google Form (2023, 2024) and SurveyMonkey (2025).
Signatories were asked to complete the form on an annual basis within a month after their event had taken place or their reporting period with the annual reporting deadline being early December.
