Alysha Brilla

Alysha Brilla is a distinctive artist, composer and music producer with a special interest in sound as a healing modality. One of the first independent artists in Canada to receive 3X Juno Award nominations for their self produced albums, Alysha's work is driven by a deep belief in music's power to transform ourselves and our world; changing the field of music and sound design.

Alysha's art is inspired by growing up with two different cultural and religious backgrounds; a Muslim Indo-Tanzanian father and a Christian European-settler Canadian mother. Her music weaves together global roots sounds with esoteric lyricism; transporting listeners to a place suspended between the earth and the stars.

Brilla has performed worldwide including Australia, Singapore, Tanzania and Chile. In addition to live performances of music, Brilla has conducted creative wellness workshops in schools for the past ten years; promoting storytelling through music and mentoring in self-expression through the arts.
