Miniøya

Miniøya is a family oriented music and culture festival, held annually in the urban park “Tøyenparken” in the city centre of Oslo. The festival is held each summer and is the largest of its kind in Norway.

Miniøya’s vision is to arrange a festival that acknowledges that every child is entitled to high-quality musical and cultural experiences and the pleasure that goes with it. Their prime objective was to create a festival environment where both children and adults can enjoy those cultural experiences together. They strive to push the boundaries to deliver a wide range of performances that surprise, engage and delight, in a safe and inclusive environment.

“Since the beginning in 2010, Miniøya has always had an eye for young talent and a heart for equal rights. As a festival aimed at the most important audience (our children), it is essential to be open minded and make room for underrepresented talent. We have a responsibility toward a new generation of musicians and listeners, and want our festival to foster and showcase role models for gender equality.

We are really proud to sign the Keychange pledge and to make a loud commitment to women and gender minorities in our line-ups.” - LAILA EGEBERG, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR MINIØYA
